I posted this model a long time ago, but the original download link went down soon after. I finally tracked the file down and uploaded it here on MYP, so the Space Battleship Yamato papercraft is available again.
Space Battleship Yamato follows Susumu Kodai, known as Derek Wildstar in the English dub, and an international crew from Earth. During an interstellar war they board the space warship Yamato after receiving a distress call from the planet Iscandar.
Their mission is to retrieve a device that can reverse the radiation poisoning that devastated Earth following bombings by the Gamilas (Gamilons).
The series has designs similar to the original Gundam and drew a wide audience in Japan and overseas. It’s stayed popular from its original run right up to today.
I’m not sure about the exact scale, but it’s probably around 1:200 and follows the anime’s original 1:1 design. It’s a pretty challenging papercraft, so be ready for a long build.
