There’s a cheap, popular model kit blind box brand called Blokees with both Global and China series. One of the global kits is the Batman Defender DC01 and it happened to be the cheapest option at the store near me, so I picked it up to test. Here’s my review.
There were 12 boxes of the cheap Blokees Batman Defender DC01 at the store, and each one was $2.30. Only four were left on the shelf, so I grabbed them all.
I usually buy these online and it’s always a bit of a gamble whether you score a good one. This time I got lucky and pulled the secret kit : the 2016 Batman version.

Since this is the cheapest Blokees kit, the figures are really small.. about 2.5 inches tall. Inside the package you get a card showing what you won and a bag with the kit parts.
Assembling it is pretty easy, and once you get the hang of it it only takes about five minutes. If you have big fingers like me, small parts like the hands and legs can be tricky, and you may need to tilt them or work from a different angle. Still, it’s not too difficult.
So are they worth it?
Yes They’re worth it. Assembling them was fun, and the quality is solid for the price. These blind boxes have been getting better and better lately.
There are lots more Blokees models; Transformers, Kamen Rider, Sesame Street, Hatsune Miku, Naruto, and more. I’ll try to pick up a few for review so stay tuned. The Star Wars version is arriving in a few days and I’ll share my thoughts once I’ve had a chance to build it.
If you want to buy one, please use the link above, it helps me keep the site running since I get a small commission at no extra cost to you.
