Little Frog Goddess Story 5M09 Review

Guys, my addiction to the Goddess Story series knows no bounds. I bought 2 boxes of 5M09, and luckily I hit the jackpot. Here’s my review of it.

Quality

Let’s talk about the quality first. For the 5M09 series, it seems they have upgraded the card quality. It feels a bit thicker, maybe by 0.05 mm or so, though I’m not entirely sure. It definitely feels thicker on hand.

This time, the box came with a surprise pack that contains either a card inside a liquid glitter packaging or a metal card. There are only 3 metal cards in this series.

I don’t think there were any of these surprise packs in the 5M08 series. I don’t recall seeing anyone get them before. However, it seems that some sellers on AliExpress do offer them with a randomly fixed metal card included.

The ranks for the cards are SZR, TGR, XR, ZR, MR, SSR, SR, and R. I’m not sure if SER is included in the ranks.

Another notable type is the TR cards, which may contain special illustrations. However, I don’t think they are that special because both boxes I bought had the same card. There’s also an Instagram-like card included as well.

Hits

From the two boxes I bought from different sellers, I only ended up with around 5 or 6 duplicates, which is quite good. I expected to get more duplicates, but it seems like this box has really good quality control.

In the first box, I got a metal card of Diona from Genshin Impact and a ZR card of Fern from Frieren anime series, while the second box brought me the hit card SZR of Roxy Migurdia from Mushoku Tensei. The MR cards I got were Marcille from Dungeon Meshi and Yui from K-On.

It’s not that I dislike Yui, but she’s from a really old anime, so I’d prefer to get a card from a newer series. That was the highest-ranking card I received; you can check out the rest in the pictures I uploaded.

All in all, I think it’s worth it to buy this series because people usually purchase 2 or 3 boxes, and the chances of getting duplicates of higher ranked cards are fairly low, though that can vary from person to person. I guess I was a bit lucky.
