Pioneer is the submarine made by the confederates during civil war in America.
It was developed and paid by Horace Lawson Hunley, James McClintock, and Baxter Watson. It was build in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to wikipedia, Pioneer was abandoned in New Basin canal due to The Union advances.
The Union found it, examine it and sold it for scrap. What a sad ending for a handsome looking submarine.
In my opinion Pioneer looks a bit like a bomb missile. For that age and year, this kind of design looks modern to me.
Pioneer submarine paper craft requires 9 sheets of paper and easy to build.
