Uminoko is the boat/boat company that arrange educational boat trip for school children in Japan. The main purpose is to learn about environment and widen friendship between children.
From pictures on their website, most of the school that goes on this trip is elementary school children and the trip is a 2 days max trip.
On the field trip the kids will be collecting specimens from the sea? and visited monumental places. For example on one trip they went to Biwakoohashi port to Nagahama port.
