German battleship Scharnhorst Papercraft

Today we’ve got battleship papercrafts courtesy of Mr. Franco, the German battleship Scharnhorst , for some reason it’s also known as Tanker Olschiff 4.

I don’t really know much about the history of this battleship, and to be honest, I’m not in the right headspace to look into it right now. I’ve been feeling pretty down lately. I know I could just ask ChatGPT or something, but honestly, I don’t fully trust it when it comes to historical details.

This papercraft model is a 1:400 scale replica of a 1942 warship, designed for medium difficulty builders. The kit includes 10 A4 sheets and consists of 1,195 parts, offering a satisfying challenge without being too overwhelming. When fully assembled, the model reaches a length of 589 mm (23.2 in.) and a height of 328 mm (12.9 in.)

Mr. Franco actually sent me this model some time ago, and there are more battleship models from him coming soon. I’ll do my best to post the updates as quickly as I can.
