Luger P08 is one of the first semi-automatic pistols designed to use a toggle-lock action, which uses a jointed arm to lock as opposed to the slide actions of almost every other semi-automatic pistol.
Luger P08 gun is mainly used in German and Switzerland in the 1900s and was widely used in war. Luger P08 is well known from its use by Germans during World War I and World War II, along with the interwar Weimar Republic and the post war East German Volkspolizei.
Other war that widely known for using Luger P08 gun as its main gun is German Revolution war, Spanish Civil War, Second Sino-Japanese War, Chinese Civil War and Rhodesian Bush War.
