The Big O Papercraft
The Big O anime series is presented in a film noir style, blending the atmosphere of a detective show with the mecha genre of anime.
The story follows Roger Smith, Paradigm City’s top Negotiator, who provides a much-needed service with the assistance of a Gynoid named R. Dorothy Wayneright and his butler, Norman Burg. When the situation calls for it, Roger summons Big O, a giant relic from the city’s past.
Created by director Kazuyoshi Katayama and designer Keiichi Sato for Sunrise Studios, Big O premiered on October 13, 1999, on WOWOW satellite television and concluded its run on January 19, 2000. The English version debuted on Cartoon Network on April 2, 2001.
Originally a 13-episode series, the positive international fan response led to a second season co-produced by Cartoon Network, Sunrise, and Bandai Visual. Season two premiered on Japan’s SUN-TV in January 2003, with the American premiere following seven months later.
Where to Watch The Big 0 Anime
Where do we stream The Big 0 anime? or where do we buy The Big 0 anime?
If you search on Google and find a Reddit thread about where to stream this anime, unfortunately, there are no streaming services that currently offer The Big O. It was previously available on HiDive, but it’s no longer accessible there.
But if you prefer to have the Blu-ray collection, you can buy it from this Amazon link. The picture quality and its deep, rich storyline justify the price of the Blu-ray disc.
I always wonder why designers forget to include their info in the PDO files. They should at least add a remark so we know who created this awesome model.
