Akita Neru is this super cool fan made character from the Vocaloid universe. Unlike the official Vocaloids like Hatsune Miku, she was created by the community, which is pretty awesome.

She popped onto the scene around November 2007 and quickly gained a following. Neru rocks blonde hair with side tails and has a color scheme that leans towards orange and yellow, setting her apart from Miku’s iconic blue.

Fans often portray her as a bit of a tsundere, meaning she’s got that tough-love vibe going on.

Even though she’s not an ‘official’ Vocaloid, she’s a big hit in the fan community and has carved out her own niche.
