Here’s another model shared with us by Mr. Obed Gordon Franco . This time it’s the German battleship Tirpitz papercraft.

According to Wikipedia , Tirpitz was the second Bismarck-class battleship built for Nazi Germany’s navy during World War II. Named after Grand Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz, it was laid down in 1936 and commissioned in 1941. Armed with eight 15-inch guns, it became the heaviest battleship ever built by a European navy after several wartime upgrades.

This papercraft model is built at a 1:400 scale and comes with 10 A4 sheets. It represents the ship as it was in 1942 and includes two Arado 196 floatplanes. The full build has around 770 parts, so it’s a pretty detailed project.

I mentioned earlier that this is a pretty detailed project, right? But according to the designers of this German battleship Tirpitz papercraft, it’s actually rated as medium difficulty. If you ask me, it looks pretty tough… but to a more experienced papercrafter it’s probably more like medium hard difficulty.
