If you’re here, you’re probably into AI roleplay with SillyTavern and want presets that make the world feel more alive, with believable characters who don’t automatically agree with everything.
I wanted the same thing, so I spent a lot of time searching for presets that actually worked. Most of the ones I found were made for fantasy RPGs, and even when they included features I liked, they usually took things too far or wrote actions and dialogue for the user, which is something I never wanted.
Another feature I wanted was hard-coded gender consistency during roleplay. I mainly play yuri scenarios, but during intimate scenes some AI models would randomly forget that and suddenly treat my character as male. It completely breaks the immersion.
To help with that, I added rules that reinforce the character’s gender throughout the story, especially during romance and intimate moments. It works well on most models and helps keep the roleplay consistent.
That said, a preset can only do so much. Some models are heavily influenced by their training data. For example, Qwen still has a tendency to switch the character to male during intimate scenes, even with these rules in place. That’s a model limitation rather than an issue with the preset.
I came across Pura’s Director preset, and it had a lot of the features I was looking for. The problem was that its friction system felt a little too aggressive, and the AI didn’t always follow the enabled settings consistently. That’s probably more of a limitation of the AI model than the preset itself.
That said, there were two features I absolutely couldn’t give up after trying it: Parallel World and Hidden Secrets.

In Pura’s preset, both the Parallel World and Secrets systems usually come with a lot of built-in friction. At least, that’s how they behaved when I tested them with GLM and Gemma. Every off-screen event or hidden secret seemed to build toward some kind of conflict or drama.
I wanted something a little different, so I toned that down. Instead of constantly creating tension, I made those systems focus on everyday, believable situations.. things that real people would naturally do behind the scenes or keep to themselves. Small routines, personal worries, unfinished plans, private conversations, or minor inconveniences make the world feel much more alive without forcing drama into every scene.

Claire’s fingers freeze on the tablet screen. Her eyes flicker up, darting left and right as if calculating an escape route. For a split second, the unflappable COO looks like a deer caught in headlights.
“I consume media,” she says stiffly, her voice dropping an octave in defense. “For… cultural context. And stress management.”
Maya bursts out laughing, nearly falling off the sofa. She sets her wine glass down with a clumsy clatter.
“Cultural context?” Maya wheezes, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. “For Maria Holic? What possible business insight does a Catholic school comedy provide?”
“Understanding absurd power dynamics,” Claire retorts, her cheeks turning a faint shade of pink. She sets the tablet down on the side table with a little more force than necessary. “It’s efficient.”
Lisa shifts against your shoulder, grinning as she watches Claire squirm.
“I knew it,” Lisa says softly, popping another piece of popcorn. “You’re the one who keeps using the Netflix account, aren’t you? The ‘someone is watching’ notification was always you.”
Tanaka stares at Claire with newfound respect.
“Claire,” he says, reaching over to high-five the air. “The closet weeb. This is the best day of my life.”
Claire clears her throat, crossing her legs and turning her attention firmly back to the TV screen where the zombie horde is currently overrunning a palace.
“Watch the show,” she commands, ignoring them all. “The political subplot is relevant.”

I started by vibe coding with GLM 5.2 and managed to build a simple preset that covered most of what I wanted. The only thing I couldn’t get working properly was the Secrets and Parallel World systems.
HOW TO USE
- Go to AI Response Configuration menu in your sillytavern and choose import preset and pick MYP Presets in the next window.
- Enable Regex
- Set the temperature from 60-90. Minimum 600 Max response length.
- Toggle the gender button of your choice, parallel and secrets on for best gameplay.
- Best usage with : DEEPSEEK, GLM , GEMMA 4 .
In the end, I borrowed Pura’s implementation of those two features and reworked them to fit the logic of my own preset. After a lot of tweaking and testing, it finally came together.
The result is MYP Preset . a preset built specifically for office romance, casual slice of life, and everyday roleplay. Instead of pushing constant conflict or fantasy adventures it focuses on believable characters, natural interactions, and a world that feels alive in the background.
Just so you know, I’ve mainly tested this preset with DeepSeek 4 Flash, GLM 4.7, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, and Gemma 32B. I used it for about a week across different roleplays, and I’d say it’s working about 9/10 of the time.
The AI will still fall back on its own training every now and then. You’ll occasionally see it being a little too agreeable, overly enthusiastic, or too focused on the user. But compared to the default behavior, it’s much more toned down and feels a lot more natural.
From what ChatGPT explained to me, there’s only so much a preset can do. You can’t completely override how a language model was trained, so getting a perfect 10/10 probably isn’t realistic. For now, I think this is a pretty good balance.
I’ve been using this preset with Lisa – Your Coworker Who’s Obsessed With You, and honestly, it’s become my favorite character. I’ve stuck with this one for months now, which is pretty rare for me, and I’ve been enjoying every playthrough.
