Umaru is the main character of Himoto! Umaru-chan. She pretends to be the perfect girl when in public but turns into a laze otaku bro-con at home.

Umaru is superbly popular at school known as the perfect girl with perfect attitude and glittering aura with top grades and look in fact she is a role model at school.

At home she laze around wearing hamster cape eating chips, play video-games and watch anime till late night .

Umaru has a brother name Taihei that takes care of her ever . In the manga, there was a notion that their mother might have passed away but was never confirmed by mangaka.
